12 counties have been issued with a new weather warning taking effect tomorrow

Met Éireann has issued 12 counties with a status yellow rainfall warning that is due to take effect from 6pm tomorrow.

All five counties in Connacht are included in the new warning, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford, Louth, Westmeath and Meath. The warning is valid from 6pm on Wednesday until 6am on Thursday and says that there will be 'heavy rain and a risk of localised flooding.' The national forecast for Wednesday night says that it will be 'wet and breezy with widespread rain, heavy at times, with spot flooding likely.'
