It’s being widely reported this morning that the Lord Of The Dance Himself Michael Flatley will perform a routine at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration in Washington tomorrow night.
The news comes after a number of high-profile entertainers turned down similar invites including Elton John, Charlotte Church and Moby while a Bruce Springsteen tribute act even pulled out of performing after receiving negative feedback.
It seems Riverdance guru Flatley should expect a similar response as the online reaction so far is both hilarious and scathing in equal measure.
Here are some of our favourites:
Flatley can redeem himself if one of his high kicks takes Trump’s head clean off.

This is so weird. I had a dream last night I was flying over Michael Flatley’s gaff and I spotted him in his garden having a piss. Symbolic?

Between Trump and Flatley there won’t be a drop of fake tan left in the parish.

How close do you reckon we could get Flatley to Trump to “accidentally” kick him in the face? pic.twitter.com/OvOWSeSLym

I heard Michael Flatley’s fee for the #inauguration was two rhino heads, one leopard skin rug, a flute made from Ivory and oh….his soul.

So, it seems Michael Flatley is a fucking dick. If only he’d given us some clues before now.
