The Connacht Tribune has said that a body has been recovered at the railway tracks near Rosshill just outside Galway City.
They made the announcement on their Twitter page.Â
Emergency services attended to the scene shortly after 4pm.
All services to and from Galway were disrupted until just before 6pm but significant delays are still being expected.
Update: Line has reopened between Athenry and Galway following incident at Rosshill. Delays to Galway services up to 20 minutes.
