A Status Yellow Snow Warning Has Been Issued For The Whole Country Tomorrow

Met Éireann issued a fresh warning on Wednesday as a blast of snow looks set to take hold tomorrow.

The status yellow warning applies to the whole country with north and northwest counties being the most at risk.

A message on the Met Éireann website reads:

‘Scattered snow showers will occur later Thursday, Thursday night and into Friday. Slight to moderate accumulations are possible with up to 3cm in parts. Icy stretches too. North and northwest counties will be most at risk, as well as higher ground elsewhere.’

The warning is valid from 4pm on Thursday until 4pm on Friday.
