A Status Yellow Wind Warning Has Now Been Issued For SEVEN Counties

James Fenton

If it feels like Met Éireann is issuing weather warnings every day recently, that’s because they are.

Snow, ice and treacherous driving conditions have dominated the agenda in recent days but now it’s wind that we all have to be concerned about.

On Wednesday morning, a status yellow wind warning was issued for the counties of Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

A statement on Met.ie reads:

‘West to southwest winds veering west to northwest with mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h with gusts between 90 and 110km/h. Winds possibly higher for a short time this evening along western coastal areas.’

The warning is in place from 9am on Wednesday until 11.59pm on Thursday night.
