Met Éireann has issued a thunderstorm warning for the whole of Ireland, valid from 4pm on Thursday until 9am on Friday.
The advisory was issued at 1pm today and reads: ‘Heavy thunderstorms are expected to develop later on Thursday and Thursday night with some severe downpours, hail and spot flooding. Due to the localised nature of thunderstorms some parts of the country will remain dry.’
An additional warning issued by the UK Met Office for Northern Ireland reads ‘Whilst many places will be dry or see little rain, thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption in a few places.’
Status Yellow Thunderstorm warning has been issued for the whole of Ireland for Thursday afternoon through to Friday morning.

Last week, similar thunderstorm warnings were issued around Ireland and it looks like we haven’t seen the end of this month’s erratic weather just yet.
