Met Éireann has issued a status ‘yellow’ warning for seven counties across Ireland today.
Meteorologists issued the warning this morning that will be active from 6pm tonight up until 6pm on Saturday evening.
The warnings have been put in place for Galway, Mayo, Kerry, Clare, Offaly, Limerick and Tipperary as up to 50mm of rain is expected.
Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry are expected to receive the highest levels of rainfall, totalling between 40 to 50mm, while the other three counties can expect between 30 to 40mm.

Met Éireann said, “Tonight will be cloudy and wet, with widespread rain, heavy in many areas, with a risk of localized flooding, with hill and coastal fog also.”
If you live in any of these counties you may want to spend a cosy night indoors this weekend.
