Mick Barry is a Solidarity–People Before Profit politician who has been a TD for Cork North-Central constituency since the 2016 General Election.
He has been a leading figure in Cork since being elected and has been very clear and strong on positions such as being pro-abortion and breaking down the baptism barrier in schools in Ireland.
During the week, he spoke in the Dail about the need to get rid of the baptism barrier in Irish schools stating that: “there should be no discrimination on the basis of religion in the education system.”
But Barry’s openness on the matter of abortion has meant that his offices has been destroyed with Graffiti by locals who don’t hold the same view.
The TD posted the pictures on his Social Media of the doors and windows in his office which were labelled with terms such as “Blood Money” and “Baby Killer”.

My constituency office this morning: “Baby Killer”, Blood Money”, “Kill”, “Murder Bap”. Reckon the last one was gonna be “Murder Babies”. Maybe they were interrupted? Don’t think they were just hungry and saying that they’d murder a bap. #RepealedThe8th pic.twitter.com/bzh2Gt5mI4
