Irish Model Saved By Her Seven-Year-Old Son After Collapsing With Mystery Illness

Alison Canavan has described her “intense and scary week” after suddenly collapsing with a virus in London.

The model and wellness coach and her son James, aged seven, were in the UK with their family for a 70th birthday party when she fell ill.

It turned out to be a combination of bacterial pneumonia, pleurisy and a mystery virus, which Alison’s doctors believe she caught on a long-haul flight from LA.

This day last week my 7 year old boy picked up the phone and saved his mummy. On a trip to London I got taken down by a virus and within hours collapsed and was rushed to hospital. It has been an intense and scary week but I am now on the mend. Thank you to all my friends and family including @karyclince , Fiona Kelly, my mum, my sis Laura who is on her way over to me, Margaret and Marion and the list goes on. I have learnt that our health is precious, the kindness of others heals and can make you feel safe when you are scared. Dr Coker At London Bridge Hospital is my hero and Her quest to get to the bottom of everything is extraordinary. Thank you for all the prayer and healing circles that have been sent my way by everyone. They really worked ❤️????????
