All EU countries have been removed from Ireland’s updated Green List

Rory Cashin

The updated Green List will be implemented from Monday.

In previous weeks, we have updated Ireland’s Green List every Thursday for those travelling from Ireland to other EU nations, based on the announcements made by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, based on the latest data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

This week, the DFA announced the following:

“As no EU / EEA countries were below the required 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases, there will be no countries on the Green List with effect from Monday, October 12.”

The current list, which will remain active until midnight on Sunday, October 11, is as follows:

  • Cyprus
  • Finland
  • Latvia
  • Liechtenstein

Essentially, this means anyone travelling back in to Ireland from Monday, October 12 will be requested to restrict their movements.

All passengers arriving into Ireland from overseas are obliged to complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form before entry, and all the relevant information can be found on the Irish Government Advice Page.
