All Tall Apartments In Ireland Will Undergo New Fire Safety Checks After Grenfell Blaze Fears

All residential buildings over six storeys high in Ireland are to undergo new fire safety tests after fears of a blaze outbreak similar to Grenfell Tower.

The Irish Examiner reports that Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy has confirmed the tests will be carried out, with some already underway.

A new task force has also been established to carry out the safety assessments, and consists of senior representatives from national and local government as well as Dublin’s Chief Fire Officer.
