A church in Galway brought back their hugely popular Ash Wednesday drive-thru for busy parishioners this morning.
St Patrick’s Church Glenamaddy held the drive-thru from 8am to 9.30am this morning and it appears that plenty of people took advantage of the offer.
Writing on their Facebook page, they said, “Record numbers attended the Drive Thru Ashes this morning.”

The church introduced the service back in 2017 and it always proves to be a hit with locals who can’t make it to the more traditional mass.
For anyone in the area who missed out this morning, they’ve sadly finished the drive-thru for the day but they will be celebrating mass at 7pm this evening.
