More sad news this morning.

A man stabbed and killed 19 people as they slept at a care centre for the disabled in Sagamihara near Tokyo, just hours ago. This is Japan's worst mass killing in at least 30 years.

Satoshi Uematsu, a 26-year old former employee of the care centre, has been arrested after turning himself in following the attack. It is understood that the ages of the victims range from 19 - 70 years old.

According to Reuters, the death toll is expected to rise as at least 20 of the victims who were wounded are in a critical condition.

Truly heartbreaking stuff.
