We’re in For a Bank Holiday Monday Scorcher… But It’s Not Set To Last

Megan Cassidy

All good things must come to an end.

We’ve been absolutely spoiled with the weather, and while it’s almost time to take the rain covers out again, we have one more day to soak it all in.

After a scorching Sunday with highs of 23 degrees, we’re in for another sizzler this bank holiday Monday, with highs reaching from 18C to 21C.

According to Met Éireann, those in the midlands will get the best of it, while it’s set to be cooler in coastal areas with chances of some drizzle.

The forecaster said Tuesday will be “a bright, fresh day, with sunny spells and occasional showers”, so don’t leave the good cushions out on the patio tonight.

As for the rest of the week, it’s described as “changeable and unsettled”, with showers and rain from time to time.

Get out there and enjoy it while you can, folks!
