HOLY SHIT. Have our wildest sesh moth dreams come true? We do believe they have.
BBC has announced that it will be bringing an alternative to the legendary Glastonbury Festival, which is taking a year’s break, with the replacement called ‘The Biggest Weekend’.
The festival will take place in four sites in four nations, and Belfast, Ireland is one of the lucky locations on next year’s late May bank holiday weekend (25th-28th.)
While a line up has yet to be revealed, Bob Shennan, director of BBC Radio and Music said:
“BBC Music has a strong history of bringing the nation together for some special moments, and this is the biggest single music event ever attempted by the BBC.
“We will be celebrating the diversity of music from four different corners of the country, bringing the best UK music to the world and the best global music to the UK.”
