Ireland’s top singers and songwriters have come together to release a single and an album to generate funds for three of Ireland’s homeless charities.
The project, called ‘Street Lights’ involves some of Ireland’s best known artists including Bono, The Villagers, Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol, Roisin O, Loah, Cathy Davey, The High Hopes Choir, Join Me In The Pines, Saint Sister and Colm Mac Con Iomaire.
The group have covered one of Simon and Garfunkel’s classic songs, Homeward Bound.
The Simon Community, Peter McVerry Trust and Focus Ireland will recieve all the proceeds of the single and album sales, which they have agreed will go to rehousing on a national level.
‘Homeward Bound’, featuring #Bono is now available on streaming services.
