The Éire sign up on Bray Head which was rediscovered over the summer after 70 years has just been given a major makeover.
The World War II sign, originally used to notify German soldiers that they were flying over neutral country, was revealed after heavy rain and wildfires hit the area over the summer.
A group of local volunteers have since repainted the stones so that the sign looks brand new again and shared a video detailing their efforts on Facebook.
The Garda Air Support Unit air corps crew spotted the sign last month while flying over the area as they supported fire crews in tackling the blaze.
There’s said to be roughly 85 of these signs dotted along the Irish coastline.
