As the Beast from the East continues to batten down the hatches across the nation, tomorrow's arrival of Storm Emma is expected to bring severe snow of up to 25cm.

Met Eireann released updated Red weather warnings for all of Leinster and Munster, saying: "Blizzard-like conditions will develop in heavy snow and strong easterly winds on Thursday evening and will continue Thursday night and Friday morning."

The National Emergency Group has just stated that the public in Status Red affected areas should stay indoors from 4pm tomorrow until midday Friday

The Department Of Education has confirmed that all schools and third level colleges will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to adverse weather conditions.
