Breaking: Orange Wind Warning Issued For 13 Counties

Things are getting serious

Storm Callum Wednesday 1

An Orange Wind Warning has been issued for 13 counties from 10pm tomorrow night.

Met Éireann has issued an alert for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork and Waterford which will end at 9am on Friday morning.

The warning has been extended until 12 pm on Friday for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.

The warning states, "Strong winds associated with Storm Callum, coinciding with high spring tides will affect Ireland on Thursday night and Friday morning.

Winds will be strongest overnight and early on Friday, gusting between 110 and 130 km/h at coasts."

In addition to the wind, over 60mm of rain is expected on Friday and Saturday with a big risk of flooding.

Met Éireann forecaster Joanna Donnelly described the storm as a "ferocious beast" yesterday.

So yeah, that's brilliant.
