We hope you’re fog lights are working, ‘cos you’re DEFO going to be needing them today.
Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange fog weather warning for inland areas across the country, with immediate effect lasting until 2am.
They are predicting widespread fog with “very poor visibilities” which will linger in many inland areas this afternoon and “will become more extensive and dense this evening and for a time tonight.”
Areas especially affected will be midland, northern and eastern areas with overnight lows of -1 to +3 degrees Celsius.
