Every country has its own slang, this is natural.

Ireland has its own particular set of words and phrases that, unless you know their meaning, sound innocent enough. 

It’s easy to forget that other people in the world still use these words at face value, not knowing the other meaning Irish people have attributed to them. 

Take Cher, for example.

Singer extraordinaire, and quite frankly, iconic on Twitter, she has recently tweeted something that the Irish people on Twitter can’t get enough of.
