As if tackling a fire isn’t hard enough on the bravest of Firemen and women around the country, doing so while kids are hurling stones at you must make it 100 times harder.
That’s what Cork Fire Brigade had to deal with on Friday as they tried to put out a fire in the northside of the city.
In a statement, they said that: “Tonight whilst one of our crews were dealing with a fire in the Northside of the City, they came under attack from youths throwing stones.
“Garda assistance was requested and fire was extinguished, luckily no injuries to crew members or damage to appliances occurred.”
