Donald Trump and his wife Melania landed at Shannon Airport yesterday and while they have kept a fairly low profile since, his sons wasted no time in getting to know the locals.
Brothers Donald Jr and Eric went on a pub crawl of Doonbeg’s four pubs yesterday evening, chatting to the locals and pulling pints behind the bar.
Escorted by armed gardaí and US secret service agents, the pair were spotted walking through the small village in Co Clare before making their first stop of the evening at Morrisey’s pub.

The brothers also reportedly bought a round of drinks for the locals in each of the pubs they stopped at.
BBC journalist Nuala McGovern noted that when she asked Eric if their trip was ‘a good use of US taxpayer money’, he simply responded, ‘We’re just trying to have a good time.’
McGovern added that Eric then ‘poses for selfies, refuses to answer further & ducks into Madigans pub surrounded by fans & security’.
And asked about the protests that have been taking place in Co Clare since the president’s arrival, Donald Jr replied that they had seen “a lot of American flags, even in London”.
He added,”The press won’t talk about it. They won’t report on it. They totally ignore it but it outweighed the protests by 10 to one.”

Donald Trump met with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar following his arrival at Shannon Airport yesterday, where they discussed topics including immigration and Brexit.
The US president later denied suggestions that his visit to the west of Ireland was just an excuse to visit his luxury golf resort in Doonbeg.
He told reporters, “I thought this would be the best place [to come]. I love Ireland. I love Doonbeg.”
