Ah, come on.
GardaĆ have shared photos of the car belonging to a driver arrested in Wicklow on suspicion of drink driving, and it’s easy to see why they were alarmed.
The photos show a car littered with empty alcohol cans, with at least 14 cans visible and at least one unopened can in the central console.
Taking to Twitter, GardaĆ wrote:

Figures released by gardai this morning showed that 8,753 motorists were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in 2018.
The Road Safety Authority revealed that 149 people lost their lives on Ireland’s roads in 2018 – a four per cent drop on 2017 figures.
Transport Minister Shane Ross said he welcomed the fall in fatalities, but added that “although the figures are marginally improved, they are not good enough”.
