This Is How Much The Late Late Show Paid Their Guests Last Year

The Late Late Show is such a staple of Irish TV that it guarantees huge viewership and is almost guaranteed a #LateLate hashtag on Twitter that night every week.

This sort of publicity is worth big bucks to potential guests – but that’s not the only thing they receive.

It’s been reported by The Irish Independent and The Herald, who obtained their figures through the Freedom of Information Act, that the show spent €180,000 on guests between 2015 and 2016.

In the following years, around €90,000 was spent on securing guests; with €91,021 spent in 2015 and €93,985 spent in 2016 – bringing the average amount spent on every show around the €2,500 mark.

A previous €125,000 was spent on guests in 2014.

However, not all guests are paid. Guests such as politicians or those promoting a movie, music or programme are exempt from such funds.
