John Lewis’ Christmas ad has caused quite a stir over the years.

Between being deemed ‘too sad’, ‘too much’ or simply misleading – the company have been getting an awful lot of stick from the general public.

So much so, that an Irish man has taken the whole ordeal into his own hands, and made his own version of the video.

Waterford man Rob Grimes set the scene, as if it were to happen in his own back garden.
