The Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2017 Live Launch took place this morning, recognising some of the top restaurants in the region.
The highly anticipated announcement identifies this year's new winners, those who've retained their star for another year and, sadly, those who have lost the accolade.
We know what a fantastic food scene we have here in Ireland so it's unreal to see it recognised on such a huge scale.
Ireland only had one new winner, but ten Irish restaurants managed to hold onto their stars and, thankfully, not a single Irish restaurant lost their star this year.
In the Republic Of Ireland, the following establishments retained their Michelin Stars...
- House at Cliff House Hotel, Ardmore, Waterford
- Chapter One, Dublin 1
- L'Ecrivain, Dublin 2
- The Greenhouse, Dublin 2
- Aniar, Galway
- Loam, Galway
- Campagne, Kilkenny
- Lady Helen at Mount Juliet Hotel, Thomastown, Kilkenny
There was one new addition...
Heron & Grey in Blackrock, Dublin won its first ever star. ;
And in Northern Ireland...
Get booking, because they're gonna fill up fast.
