Being chosen as a bridesmaid is huge honour — but it comes with an equally huge price tag.
Research carried out THEVOW.ie recently founded that majority of bridemaids in Ireland, that’s 24% of them, spent between €500-€800 on the wedding celebrations.
It’s important to note that this figure doesn’t include the expenses which are often covered by they happy couple, such as the dress, shoes, hair and make-up.
Some bridesmaids really push the boat out for the big day, with 17% spending more than €1,000 and 8% more than €1,500.
These stats do not bode well for the bank accounts of the unfortunate bridesmaids of Ireland.
