The deadline for registering to vote in 2018 is next Saturday November 25.
A number of referendums are to be held in Ireland next year, including one on the Eight Amendment promised for May or June.
Up to 150,000 young people may not be eligible to vote, the National Youth Council of Ireland warned.
They are urging people aged between 18 and 29 to fill out the RFA1 form necessary for registration and post it to their local authority by Thursday November 23 or hand it in in person by Saturday November 25.
Anyone who will turn 18 years of age on or before February 15 2018 is also eligible to register.
