It was a sticky one out there today, lads. Not that any Irish person would ever complain about the weather.
The whole country has been basking in warm sunshine over the past few days but one spot was that bit hotter than others. According to Met Éireann, the highest temperature around Ireland today was recorded at Shannon Airport with the mercury rising to 26.3 degrees in the area. This was followed closely by Newport in Co. Mayo where temperatures reached 26.1 degrees while Markree Castle & Moore Park was recorded at 25.7 degrees.
A further list of the highest temperatures in Ireland can be seen below and with the annual ‘Leaving Cert Weather’ just around the corner, there’s no sign of this heat letting up.
