House Prices In This City Are Rising Faster Than Anywhere Else In Ireland

James Fenton

A new survey by Shery Fitzgerald has revealed that Galway has seen the biggest increase in house prices in the first half of 2017.

Overall the average price of houses and apartments in Ireland has risen by 4.4%. In Galway, the increase was 4.9% while Cork and Limerick saw rises of 3.1% and 3.4% respectively.

Sherry Fitzgerald’s chief economist Marian Finnegan said:

“The increase in house prices reflects a natural uplift in demand coupled with a significant depletion in the stock of available property on the market in the opening months of the year.”
