Here’s How Long It Takes The Average Irish Commuter To Travel To Work

Do you spend half your feckin’ morning sitting in traffic, or squished in beside a stranger who’s half falling asleep on your shoulder?

You’re not alone, sweet little commuter.

The latest date from the Census shows that commuting is up by 11%, with 1,875,773 million people in Ireland commuting to work.

The average commuter will spend 28.2 minutes travelling, an increase of two minutes since 2011, with the majority of people commuting by car.

Walking is the second most popular option, with public transport used by 21% of people.
