The Best Hotels In Ireland Have Just Been Named

Kiara Keane

Ireland won its fair share of awards at this year’s World Travel Awards, often referred to as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’.

Adare Manor in Limerick was just named Ireland’s Leading Hotel 2018 at the ceremony in Lisbon – an award it last won back in 2015.

The five-star resort beat tough competition from the following nominees:

  • Conrad Dublin
  • Dromoland Castle
  • Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa
  • InterContinental Dublin
  • Powerscourt Hotel Resort Spa
  • The Clarence
  • The Westin Dublin

Dromoland Castle was also named Ireland’s Leading Boutique Hotel, while Conrad Dublin was crowned Ireland’s Leading Luxury Hotel.

It’s not the first time this year that Adare Manor has scooped a top prize – it was named Best Hotel of the Year 2018 at the Virtuoso Best of the Best awards in Las Vegas, beating four other hotels in France, the UK, Morocco and the US.

As well as winning those titles at the World Travel Awards, Dublin’s Jameson Distillery Bow St. was named the World’s Leading Distillery Tour and Sandymount Hotel was awarded Europe’s Leading Green Hotel.
