The Connacht Tribune is reporting that a public toilet in Tuam, which has been known to be used by couples who want an outdoor adventure, is being moved a few miles out the road in Galway to Oranmore.

Oranmore needed a public toilet and Tuam were more than happy to get rid of theirs which has cost them nearly a million euro since its installation.

The toilet was never asked for by the people of Tuam and has caused a number of problems for the locals in its eleven years there.

It has been known to swing open when people are using it and although it has a sensor to stop two people using it at once, it has become a notorious "love nest" for couples in the area.

You just can't make these things up sometimes.
