Thousands of customers have had their bookings cancelled with Irish Ferries because of a delay in the delivery of their new ship, the WB Yeats.
The company has said that the delay lies with the company building the ship, Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft & Co KG.
Up to 20,000 people have been affected with the first trips between Ireland and France due to start on the 30th of July.
However, customers will be offered alternative travel options including passage on another Irish Ferries ship.
This is the second time customers have been affected by a similar delay with the WB Yeats vessel.
