Bogus Netflix emails are presently doing the rounds amongst Irish users of the streaming service, bringing to attention that account owners have allegedly cancelled their subscription, asking them to sign up for the service again.
TV3 reporter, Ruairi Carroll, shared a snapshot of what the email looks like. It’s eerily similar to the original brand’s graphics and layout – except with both a disconcerting and nonsensical message.

The false email states:
“Hi,
As you requested, we’ve cancelled your membership, effective from Saturday, 29th July 2017.
Obviously we’d love to have you back. If you change your mind, simply restart your membership to enjoy all the best TV programmes & films without interruption.”
Prompting you then to click on a ‘Restart Membership’ button.
Those who’ve experienced such an email should simply ignore it. It’s totally fake and not in association with Netflix in any way.
