Yesterday, it was confirmed that former Ireland rugby international Ronan O’Gara would be taking up a new coaching role with Crusaders in New Zealand.
The former out-half, who is Ireland’s record points scorer with a tally of 1,083, had been working with Racing 92 in France but will take up his new role on January 1 2018.
As is the norm in the social media age, the Christchurch-based club took to Twitter to welcome their new recruit but their choice of wording has left a lot of people cringing in this part of the world.
