Irish Teenage Brothers Among Favourites To Win UK’s The X Factor

katedemolder

It seems that Ireland’s talent for producing musical superstars is growing ever-strong, with the introduction to the world of busking Blessington duo Conor and Seán Price.

Last week, the teenage brothers won a standing ovation from both the X Factor judging panel and audience for their take on George Michael’s ‘Freedom’.

The two young men, ages 15 and 17, impressed the four judges so much, that Nicole Scherzinger even compared Conor’s voice to an “Irish rock version of Justin Bieber”.

Rumour has it that their chosen song for tonight is Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy In Love’, with which they hope to cheer up the nation following the Irish team’s heartbreaking loss to Denmark in the World Cup play-off.

At the time of writing, the two lads boast bets of 10/1 to win, matching with fellow act The Cutkelvins.

Here’s hoping we’ve a better chance with them than we did with the qualifier last weekend…

The X Factor airs tonight on TV3 at 20:10.
