The Head Plan was forced to let staff go and will experience serious shipping delays coming up to Christmas.

Anyone who loves to journal, or are really into their self-care will have heard of The Head Plan. This Irish business was set up by qualified life coach Denise Kenny Byrne and her husband Ciaran to assist people in achieving their goals and managing their mental health through journalling. Their products include diaries, journals, stationary, water bottles and more wellness accessories. As an avid Head Plan journalist, I can say that it’s my personal favourite diary to track my time and inner most thoughts, and I have recommended it to anyone and everyone who’s in need of a journal.

The Head Plan was supposed to open a pop-up shop at Mahon’s Point in Cork for the holidays, having already hired staff and ordered in stock. Unfortunately they have had to cancel the pop-up due to a “small explosion” on board a ship carrying the majority of their merchandise.

Denise and Ciaran took to The Head Plan socials to fill their customers in on the incident, and the ramifications it would have for the festive period.

We received news last night that there was a serious incident in which a fire and a ‘small explosion’ occurred on the ship that was carrying the majority of our stock, including all of our new products. Thankfully nobody was hurt which is the most important thing.

The post continued, saying this was a huge financial loss for the brand, and Denise and Ciaran expressed their regret with regards to the cancelled pop-up shop in Cork.

Our biggest endeavour was opening our Pop Up in Mahon Point Cork in which we had a full team hired – we have now had to sadly cancel this and let our team go, which is truly heart-breaking.”

Our thoughts go out to the whole Head Plan team, as well as the staff that were let go as a result of this incident. Denise and Ciaran say this will unfortunately result in more shipping delays, and thank their customers for understanding.
