High temperatures and rainfall pretty much every day this week.

The Irish Summer has officially arrived, thanks to that weird combination of high temperatures and lots of rain, making it impossible to ever properly plan what to wear.

The folks at Met Eireann have given their prediction for the next seven days, and while we’ll be kicking off the week with temperatures up to around 19 degrees in places, the rain won’t really kick in until later in the week:

TUESDAY –  “Showery rain over the western half of the country will extend to all areas. The afternoon and evening will be mostly cloudy with rain or showers in most areas. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.”

WEDNESDAY – “There’ll be a fair amount of cloud and outbreaks of rain or drizzle in the morning and some showers in the afternoon and evening . Some sunny intervals also, especially in the west later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees.”

THURSDAY – “A few showers may develop in Ulster and Leinster. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.”

FRIDAY – “Rainfall amounts will be quite small and there’ll be some brighter intervals also. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.”

SATURDAY & SUNDAY – “Sunny spells and scattered showers with highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees.”
