It’s Going To Be Flipping Freezing Tonight Across The Country

You probably felt the cool chill in the air this morning and the bad news is that it’s only going to get colder.

Anyone without a death wish has started to get the big coats out and are decked with woolly hats and scarves and you might want to keep them on, because tonight is going to be bloody freezing.

Met Éireann has forecast that it’s only going to get colder as the week goes on and temperatures are going to plummet to -2 degrees tonight countrywide.

There is going to be widespread frost and a risk of icy patches tonight, so if you’re driving you might want to be that little bit extra cautious and have that ice spray ready for the morning to defrost your car.

They reported, “Tonight will be mostly dry with clear spells but showers will continue in the north and northwest, wintry over higher ground. Lowest temperatures between minus 2 and plus 2 degrees, with frost and icy patches on untreated surfaces.”

The risk of the frosty weather will be in place until at least Thursday evening, so if you haven’t already been cocooning up in your scarf – now might be the time to consider it.
