It’s Official: Yesterday Was The Hottest Day Of 2018 So Far

Sarah

Yesterday was the first morning we left the house not feeling absolutely baltic, and by midday it seemed like the entire country was picnicking in the park and throwing off their winter coats.

Finally! Spring has arrived. Sure you could even call it summer.

Met Eireann reports on yesterday’s weather shows that it was indeed the hottest day of the year so far, with two weather stations (Malin Head and Phoenix Park) recording temperature highs of 20 degrees.

We’re in for a good spell of sunshine today and tomorrow too, with forecasts for todat predicting “temperatures of 15 to 18 or 19 degrees”.

Friday will be a dry day with good sunny spells and Saturday will be “rather warm and humid with top temperatures of 15 to 18 or 19 degrees Celsius, all in light breezes.

Stock up on the suncream lads!
