Last Night’s Winning National Lottery Ticket Was Sold In Thurles Co Tipperary

Tipperary lotto players are being urged to check their tickets after it was revealed that last night’s €250,000 winning ticket was sold in Thurles.

Eugene Dwyer, the owner of the Centra shop that sold the winning ticket said: “This is our first big Lotto win and what a win it is for our customers, we’re absolutely over the moon!

“I was a bit hesitant when I got the call to tell me about the win, it is April Fool’s after all!

“I think some of our customers think we’re codding but we are strongly appealing to anybody who was in the store yesterday to check their tickets to see if they are a quarter of a million richer.”

Players nationwide are urged to check their tickets as 70,000 people won prizes in Saturday night’s Lotto draws – with three tickets winning €36,364 having scooped the match 5+ bonus prize.

Tipperary has won a total of €9m in lotto wins in the last six months, with a syndicate from Thurles claiming a Lotto jackpot worth more than €7.5 million just last November.
