Man Charged With Murder of Grandmother in Wicklow Mountains

A man has been charged with the murder of Patricia O'Connor, after her body was found dismembered in the Wicklow mountains over the weekend.

According to the Irish Times, the man is due to appear in Tallaght District Court later today. 

He initially presented himself to the Guards on Monday, but was released on initial belief by Gardai that the body was male.

When it was confirmed that the body remains were female, Gardaí arrested him and detained him for questioning.

The victim had been missing since June 2nd, and was discovered over the weekend.
