Man Dies In Suspected Workplace Accident In Kildare

A man has died in a suspected workplace accident overnight in Naas, Co Kildare.

The incident happened in an industrial estate, Dublin Live reports.

The 53-year-old man, suffered catastrophic injuries when he was struck by an articulated truck that was reversing at the MDS Distribution Ltd haulage centre in Newhall, Naas.

The man, who is in his 40s, died in a distribution centre at around 2.30am, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body remains at the distribution centre this morning, and the Health and Safety Authority and coroner have been notified.

A Garda spokesman confirmed that: "Gardai in Naas are investigating the discovery of the body of a man in his 40s in a suspected workplace accident."
