Met Éireann has been busy in the run up to Christmas, with an ever-changing forecast keeping us all on our toes.
There were *whispers* of wintry showers on Christmas Day in some parts of the country, but now it looks like it’s not exactly going to be a walk in a Winter Wonderland over the next couple of days.
In fact, the forecaster has now put two separate weather warnings in place.
A status yellow wind warning will come into effect from 00.01 on Christmas Eve in Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo.
for Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo

Meanwhile, a status yellow rain warning is set to last right through Santa’s journey on Christmas eve, coming into effect at 9am tomorrow morning (December 24) and expiring at 9am on the big day.
This warning affects Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
Hope Santa’s got his wet gear ready!
