There are many of us who would have stuck the heating on for the first time in months over the past few days as the first real chilly weather of autumn took hold.
Those who head to work early in the mornings would have felt a bit of a bite in the air so you would assume that it was time to take the winter gear out of the wardrobe. Au contraire, wooly jumper enthusiasts.
Met Éireann is predicting some fairly unseasonably warm weather for later this week with temperatures potentially reaching 21 degrees on Wednesday. A forecast says that it will be ‘feeling noticeably warmer than in preceding days with top temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees with moderate southwest winds.’
Before that, tonight will see ‘outbreaks of rain affecting western coastal counties’ while Tuesday will see the northwest of Ireland affected by ‘patchy rain and drizzle’ but ‘elsewhere will remain largely dry for the day.’
After the highs of Wednesday, temperatures on Thursday should reach 19 degrees with things cooling down again on Friday.
Better make the most of the warm weather while we can. A full forecast can be found here.
