It’s Official – Met Éireann Is A Forecasting A Heatwave For Ireland Next Week

James Fenton

Think we’ve had a good summer so far? We ain’t seen nothing yet.

Met Éireann is forecasting a heatwave to take hold in Ireland next week with ‘very warm or even hot conditions developing’ and ‘the warmest weather so far this year possibly on the way.’

Is it too late to book some annual leave for next week? This weekend isn’t looking too bad either with Saturday looking ‘very mild’ and temperatures potentially reaching 24 degrees on Sunday.

The full outlook can be read here and this heatmap indicates just how hot things are going to get. We won’t be complaining, that’s for sure.
