Met Éireann confirmed a stark rise in temperatures.

The weather is finally set to improve after a week of heavy showers and thunderstorms. Met Éireann has confirmed the public can expect high temperatures and sunshine over the weekend.

According to their latest report, temperatures will rise to 21 degrees on Saturday, May 13th.

There will be spells of sunshine throughout the day with light variable breezes.

“Tomorrow morning, any patchy mist and fog will soon clear to give a largely dry day with spells of sunshine,” Met Eireann’s forecast reads.

“Cloud will increase from the west during the evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees in light variable breezes.”

There will be outbreaks of rain and drizzle on Sunday, May 14th but it will clear with sunny spells forecast for the afternoon.

However, there will be a noticeable drop in temperatures on Sunday and into the following week.

Met Éireann confirmed, “It will become noticeably cooler as the rain clears with moderate to fresh northwest winds becoming established and highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.”

However, temperatures will drop from Monday onwards with forecasters predicting an average temperature of 12 degrees.
