Mother Of Teenager Who Died By Suicide Will Take Part In Skydive For Mental Health Services

Jen

A woman whose daughter died by suicide earlier this year will take part in a skydive with a group of her daughter’s friends in an effort to raise money and awareness for mental health services for young people.

Grainne Gault’s 14-year-old daughter, Elisha Gault, left her home and died on St. Patrick’s day.

Her body was recovered on the March 25 from the River Suir near the bridge she was last seen on.

Posting on Facebook, the mother said, “Myself and a group of other amazing people will be jumping out of a plane on Oct 21. We are raising funds for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland, so they can offer more schools the opportunity to partake in their free mental health workshops… I’m making this journey in memory of Elisha. In life she may have struggled but she was also an amazing friend and support to others.”

You can donate to the skydive for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland here.
